For starters
I'm a freelance designer and illustrator. But not the visiting kind. I have my own kit, software, broadband and electricity and this means I don't come and drink your coffee and occupy desk space unless you want to pay my travel expenses. My main areas of experience are in producing product visuals (using 3D modelling, photoshop, illustrator or a mix of all three) as well as vector logos and brand elements, bespoke lettering and logotypes, illustration and design work for print and screen. All this in CMYK, RGB or spot colours. More recently I have been producing interactive flash* and video animations, which is why I only have a few examples of this work. I am not a professional photographer nor am I a video editor, which is why these areas of my work are not exceptional.
...and another thing
I deliver my work by FTP, email and those old fashioned shiny disc things. I handle the visual side of most things either screen or print, *with a little Flash programming if its simple. I supply all the common formats of files and I work happily at arms length with teams of people as long as there isn't any office politics, I'd rather crack on with work than discuss why Mandy and Paul have fallen out.
Stuff I've been up to lately...
I've made a couple of demo reels of some of my animation if you're at all interested. Demoreel 1 is 5.2mb, Demoreel 2 is 2.2mb. These use Flash 8. I'm NOT a video editor, I don't produce films or do video editing, I just make the bits for other people to use.
This little vector beauty is now available from iStockphoto where I sell a lot of splash illustration work, it helps keep me creative.
need a royalty free image of red sequins? (not everyone does it has to be said....)

My first ever video banner for New Scientist . Subscriptions rocketed as a result (okay so I made that statement up).
Nice little intro created for the Nursing Standard Nurse Awards 2008 website. Music by me.
my iStock sales are over the 15000 download mark. Satisfying to know the effort was worth it. Even some of my photos are starting to sell, if you ever need a photo of some polystyrene packing, or some fake blood, please take a look in my average photos lightbox.
Designed a new 2008 drinking vessel for Coca-cola®. Got some pictures in amongst this little 2007 rundown package I put together. Now working on some new versions to update it.
2008 was the usual plus some new things. All sorts of varied visuals created daily to help sell ideas, as well as Beijing Olympics merchandise created for Coca-cola® and Powerade®, plus inflatables for all sorts of brands, logos for a couple of new clients, some detailed illustration and posters to highlight racking safety procedures, some press advertising, web banner and HTML email work for a variety of different publications. The year ended with some flash work which shows the relationship between frequency and volume, don't have your speakers too loud!
