Typical rates as of January 2011

Its pretty hard to guess what you might need, so here are some general guides for typical service provision. Costs are based on a rate of £35 per hour. My kind of service is not your big agency style with muffins and meetings, we have a chit chat on the phone or Skype and I divide the budget to suit your needs, you still get a bespoke service, but you don't feel like you've paid £250 commission to the shiny suited go-between. Please add VAT to the prices below.

Email design and coding to HTML standards. Using your text, products etc. £150. Further costs added where stock photos or illustration are required.

Logo design with text. Provided as CMYK and Mono versions in Vector and JPEG formats. £180.

Visual for branded item including colour alteration and removal of background (such as ugly desk or floor). £10 - £35 depending on requirements. Typically 6 items in one batch would be around £60. ie reduction in price for volume.

Simple product photography. £35 per hour. Cost of return postage charged extra.

Print advert with stock photography or illustration. £120 supplied as PDF only.

Online Flash banner adverts. £140 per size, reduced by 20% for each size using the same content. Supplied as SWF plus GIF or JPEG alternative for non-flash browsers.
